The main reason for living in Portugal can be guessed. The mild, sunny climate. Due to its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, winters are mild and summers lenient. Nature is untouched and wild, encompassing everything from dense forests in the north, rugged cliffs and beautiful beaches in the west, to vast plains and rolling hills in the south. There is space, a lot, infinite. Hours can pass on the highway without encountering another car. The land is fertile and offers an abundant variety of vegetables, fruits and grains. The wines, cheeses and hams are not inferior to those of their Iberian neighbor and are often much tastier. 

Portuguese also speak pretty good English.
